Introduction Welcome to LingTap (“LingTap,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). LingTap is a real-time language practice application that connects users for short voice conversations. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the LingTap mobile application (“App”). By using LingTap, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect A. Account Information When you create an account, we collect: Name or display name Email address Language preferences Profile information you choose to provide This data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. B. Voice Communication Data LingTap enables real-time voice conversations between users using third-party communication providers (e.g., Agora). Voice audio is transmitted in real-time. Voice conversations are not recorded or stored by LingTap. We do not retain audio files from calls. C. AI-Based Feedback (Future Feature) In future versions, LingTap may offer AI-powered feedback on speech. If enabled: Voice data may be temporarily processed to generate feedback. Audio will not be permanently stored unless explicitly stated and consented to. Any AI processing will comply with applicable data protection laws. D. Usage Data We may collect limited technical data such as: Device type Operating system App version Session duration Crash reports This information is used to improve performance and stability.
How We Use Your Information We use your information to: Create and manage your account Match you with other users Enable voice communication Improve app performance Ensure safety and prevent misuse Provide customer support We do not sell your personal information.
